Staff members of the Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi have managed to raise about $5000 for the Fiji Cancer Society.
Hotel general manager Daniel Roy said this was a fantastic effort and achievement by his team.
“The management team and staff were motivated to make a difference and started fundraising efforts with a target of growing $1000 and with two bold and courageous ladies, we aspired to raise $4000,” he said.
“A milestone achievement, thanks to all the pledges and support by staff, guests and partners was when we successfully raised $5000.”
He said through the event, they had noted that there was a need for support and commitment from families, friends, corporate organisations and hotel industry for such social responsibility initiatives.
Tanoa group area general manager Narend Kumar said the Tanoa Hotel Group would continue its support and commitment towards community initiatives and endeavours to make a difference in whatever way they can.
