Covid-19 Update

As of today all Tanoa Hotels in Fiji, Samoa and Tonga still remain open. Due to the countrywide lock down in New Zealand, Russell Cottages is closed until at least the 23rd April.

Our Fiji, Samoa and Tonga hotels all have reduced staff numbers to meet the demand and some have limited their food and beverage hours of operation. Local produce is readily available and importation supply lines continue to operate.

Please be assured that all hotels have introduced a full health and safety practice for guests and staff alike. This features availability of sanitising material, protective uniforms, personal space awareness and self isolating options if required.

In these uncertain times the Tanoa Hotel Group strives to continue supporting our guests and staff. We trust you and your family remain safe and we will continue to keep you updated with changes to our operations.

Covid-19: Cancellation Policy Update

In line with the large online travel agencies, we would like to offer our guests a more flexible option with regards to Non-Refundable bookings.  Please see our updated policy below.

  • Any current booking/reservation made directly with the hotel (not online) scheduled for arrival before April 30, 2020 can be changed or cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before a guest’s schedule arrival. Please phone the hotel if you wish to change your booking. Details of each hotel can be found on our Contact Page.
  • Non-refundable bookings made through our Tanoa Hotels website with travel dates commencing before 30th April 2020 can be changed or cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before a guest’s schedule arrival. Bookings for travel commencing from 1st May 2020 can be held in credit for up to six months from scheduled date of check in, and used towards a future booking. Please forward your booking confirmation to the hotel reservation team in question to enquire about how this works. 
  • For bookings made by a travel agent (either online or other), guests are advised to please contact the agent or booking platform directly.
  • All new reservations made between today and April 30, 2020 for any future arrival date can be changed or cancelled at no change up to 48 hours before the scheduled arrival.

Tanoa Group wishes to advise increased flexibility for those whose travel plans may be affected by the response to coronavirus (COVID-19).

As of today there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 in Fiji, Samoa, and Tonga however a number of additional in-house measures have been put in place by Tanoa Hotel Group to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained. We are carefully following the guidelines provided by government health officials and the World Health Organisation and monitoring developments to protect our staff, our guests and the general public.

Our flexible booking policies ensure you can book with confidence and not be penalised if you cancel within 48 hours of your arrival. In addition to this, Tanoa Hotel Group will:
